The
Diet has opened its extraordinary session. Prime Minister Abe Shinzo delivered
his policy speech at the beginning. It was hollow, but was poisonous. He skipped
serious facts, paying no attention, in terms of polices on the aging society
with few-childbirths and development of local economies. He attacked Republic
of Korea (ROK) treacherously in his diplomatic arena and uttered anachronistic
comments on the Constitution.
AN
OUTDATED SPEECH HAS NO EFFECTIVE POLICY OF TODAY
Premier
Abe showed off the ‘greatest reform in the past 70 years’, referring to a
free-of-charge policy on education of young children, though he tells the
greatest challenge is to cope with the aging society. But his new, proud policy
ignores crucial points - cautions on safety and shortage of facilities and
nursing staff.
His
true colors exposed
Premier
Abe applauded newly elected Councilor Funago Yasuhiko from the Reiwa party as a
friend, who is an ALS patient. But soon the premier’s true colors were exposed
as he rejected a request from the party president, Yamamoto Taro, to give a
chance of an appointment in the post of Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare.
Premier
is very proud of his public services policy for all the generations. He emphasized
preventive measures so that people can work in good health until they are 70
years old. In other words Premier wants to evade medical and elderly care
services to make everyone work self-consciously and independently without these
services.
His
real intention lies in a social policy reform based on another surges of
consumption tax rate. He has silently closed the issue as he will wait for some
time until the constitution is successfully amended.
Premier
mentioned on his growth strategy, but the economy gets worse, adversely, due to
the heightened consumption tax rate. The recession has not been overcome by way
of the biggest financial and monetary steps to activate business activities. Tax
money must be appropriated to a demand side, including the minimum pension
benefits, but the government chose a tax hike, which works absolutely contrarily
on the real economy. He stated, finally, that he will help those strata of
young people who began their career at the severest periods of employment,
though his policies will not work effectively.
As
for the bilateral trade issue between the US
and Japan,
he was obliged to tell ‘facing anxieties of farming population’. Then he talked
about, as an excuse, an increase in the export of agricultural products to Vietnam and
European countries.
He
boasted, saying that the export of agri-products of Fukushima grew by 40% thanks
to the deregulation policies based on his diplomatic efforts, but did not say
anything about the cruel cut-off measure of subsidies to evacuees from the
nuclear power plant accident, releasing of radio-actively contaminated water to
the ocean and the circulation of dirty money relevant to the power industry.
Concerning
the consumption tax, Premier Abe showed off his policies on free-of-charge
education, alleviation measures to respond to the surge, premium payment
benefits, and a tax reduction for a purchase of automobile and residence. He
arrogantly admires himself, saying he has done the best during his tenure.
Let’s
look at diplomacy, national security and the constitution of the Abe version. While
stressing free trade, he does not explain the export restrictions to Republic of Korea. While declaring that a new age has
come in the relations between China and Japan and that he is intended to have a
meeting with President Kim Jong Un without any premises, Premier would not have
a talk with President Moon Jae-in of ROK, insisting on compliance with the pledges
between the two nations. The rhetoric represents a double standard. He does not
even touch on the current, worst Japan-ROK relations in the post-war era. It is
abnormal.
A
convinced criminal who knows history
Mr.
Abe’s logical discrepancy is seen in the comment on the constitution. He told: Japan proposed a hundred years ago in the Peace
Conference in Paris equality of races and that the
idea was exposed to severe oppositions in the era when the European nations and
the United States
had colonies extensively. Then he preached that the proposal had become the
very basis of the international convention on the human rights. He continued
that, learning from the predecessors, ‘it is the right time to raise this ideal
high to shape this country into the future’. He concluded, saying that ‘debates
should be made in the Constitution Examination Council pursuant to the ideal to
create our nation’.
Japan colonized
Taiwan and Korea one
hundred years ago. This country intended to be the chief of the Great Asia
Prosperity Sphere. Certainly knowing about the historic events, Premier Abe dared
to utter these phrases. He is a convinced criminal of the Japanese Imperialism.
